The Brits Ain't Comin'

The British Parliament has voted to deny Prime Minister Cameron the authority to join President Obama in striking Syria.  If President Obama is going to launch an offensive against Assad he is on his own.  His staunchest ally has said “No thanks!”
There is an old saying in politics that presidents are always fighting the last war.  It is clearly evident that the ghosts of George W. Bush and Tony Blair are playing a major role in these deliberations.
Barak Obama ignored those apparitions as he drew his red line.  The British Parliament did not.
