Minutes ago, in a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same sex marriage.
The ruling means that marriage equality is now the law of the land. Now all Americans regardless of gender, sexual orientation or place of residence can marry the person they love and enjoy all the constitutional rights, protections and privileges afforded heterosexual couples.
This is a historic day for the country and a huge step forward for our society. For now we can truly say that all citizens...regardless of race, creed or sexual orientation...are equal under the law.
