Disqualified!

Governor Chris Christie says he didn’t know that the George Washington Bridge…the busiest bridge in the world…that happens connect his state to the largest city in the country…was closed for four days…”until I read it in the newspaper.”

Governor Chris Christie says he didn’t know that the bridge closure was part of a retribution scheme hatched by his deputy chief of staff, Bridget Anne Kelly and one of his key appointments to the Port Authority, David Wildstein….”until I read it in the newspaper.”

Governor Chris Christie says he didn’t know about the hit job memo his staff released questioning Wildstein’s character by recalling some of his missteps as a high school student…”until I read it in the newspaper.”

Do we see a pattern here?

You can only play the “I didn’t know” card so often before people start to question the veracity of your denials.

Did the governor know about the actions taken by his staff on his behalf… or is he simply clueless?

In terms of a presidential run…it really doesn’t matter.

Either scenario disqualifies Christie as a serious candidate.
